Using social media applications, especially Facebook, has always left me with numerous questions, which I summarize below: What was actually happening behind the scenes as I navigated the app and used its features? I am inherently curious about the inner workings of products, particularly those involving technology, a curiosity heightened by my engineering background.

Surprisingly, during my foundational program at ALX SE Africa and through personal research, I discovered that the technologies underlying these applications were not as complex as I had imagined. The skills I acquired during the nine-month foundational courses at ALX Africa motivated me to explore what I had previously considered magical. This led to the inception of Letstalk. My goal was to see how I can synthesize the skills and knowledge I have acquired within this period to develop a real-world application while at the same time gaining more insights into the world of web technology.

Initially, I contemplated naming the application simply "social media application," but I found that too generic. After brainstorming various names without success, inspiration struck after a period of deep reflection and meditation, leading to the name Letstalk.
